Chardale Murray
President-Manager and Funeral Director
The Honorable Dr. Chardale Rochelle Murray-Kornickey was born November 29, 1975. She is the daughter of Lorraine Murray and Charlie Murray, Sr. She graduated from Baptist Hill High School and Talladega College. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and a member of Henrietta B. White Temple #1342. Chardale is a member of First Baptist Church of James Island. She was the manager of Harleston-Boags Funeral Home for three years. In March of 2000, she passed the state’s licensing test to become one of the youngest funeral directors. When Chardale was in middle school, she had what she considers a vision from God. The Lord told her to be a mortician. Mrs. Murray also holds the prestigious title of being The First African American Woman to be the State Representative for District 116.

Garrett A. Morgan
Licensed Funeral Director
Garrett A. Morgan was born to Dawn J. Morgan and the Late Vincent Morgan on the evening of January 19th, 1994. At an early age, Garrett developed a love for music, and has served since as a musician for several groups and local churches. Upon graduating from North Charleston High School, Garrett furthered his studies at Piedmont Technical College. In 2020, he obtained a degree in Funeral Directing and has successfully been licensed by the South Carolina Board of Funeral Service. He has also earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Voorhees University. He is a member of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church (Downtown), the N.A.A.C.P., Gothic Lodge #212 F. & A.M., and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity INC. He joined Murray's Mortuary team in 2012.

Raymond J. Reed
Funeral Director Apprentice/Removal Specialist
Raymond joined our staff in 2017. He is a decorated war veteran having served in Operation Desert Storm (Having spent 2 years in the U.S.A.F, 16 years in the U.S. Army, 3 years in SCANG, and 8 years as a DOD Contractor). He holds a degree with Honors in Funeral Service Education from Stratford Business College, an Associate's (Summa Cum Laude: A. A. Bus. Admin) from Miller-Motte Technical College and is currently working on completing his B.S. in Business. He is a member of Greater St. Luke A.M.E. Church in Charleston, SC, and is very active in different masonic organizations:
