Mr. Paladin Johnson, 61, of Hollywood, SC entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 6, 2022.
The relatives and friends of Mr. Paladin Johnson are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service 12:00 PM, Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 5100 Baptist Hill Road, Hollywood, SC. Interment - Wesley United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hollywood, SC. A public viewing will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at the mortuary.

Paladin Leroy Johnson, the third oldest son of Mr. James and Janie Johnson, was born June 20, 1960 in Charleston, SC. He received his early formal education through the Charleston County Public Schools and graduated from Baptist Hill High School in 1979. A spiritual upbringing was instilled in Paladin at a very young age, and he joined Wesley United Methodist Church. He participated in Church School Programs and regularly attended church functions.
Paladin's career included several jobs. The first job he held was at Piggly Wiggly. His career continued to progress, and he became employed at St. Andrew’s Garden Apartments. He moved on to Roper Hospital as a security guard and remained there for many years. He eventually landed his dream job working at Johnson Taxi Services, the family business, for 25 years until his health declined.
Paladin was well-loved by all who knew him. He was a family man and loved his family.
On Thursday, January 6, 2022, God called him to his eternal home. Paladin peacefully and quietly responded to His call with his final “Yes Lord.”
Paladin was preceded in death by his grandson, Lanelle Reed, Jr.
Paladin “Pal” was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. His wonderful memories will always be cherished by loving and devoted wife, Jean Alice Johnson; children: Torris (Corvetter) Smalls, Monique Singleton, Kareem Brown, Paladin Johnson, II, Darnell Johnson, and Nevaeh Williams; parents: James and Janie Johnson; mother-in-law: Alice Smalls; siblings: Janet Washington, Joe Smalls (Dorothy), James Johnson, Jr., Craig Johnson (Candy), Barry Johnson (Ericia), John Johnson, Marcus Johnson, Sheri Johnson-Mungin (Ernest) and Chad Johnson; sisters-in-law: Julie M. Smalls and Cynthia Johnson ( Jerome); brothers-in-law: Ronnie Smalls (Marie) and Zedrick Smalls; uncles: Frank Youngblood (Wilhelmenia) and Eugene Stewart; aunts: Agnus McIntosh, Mildred Maxwell, Margaret Ficklin, Desaline Johnson, Bernice Youngblood, Mary Stewart, Mary Lou Youngblood, Maybelle Youngblood; 13 grandchildren, 4 godchildren, 13 nieces, 19 nephews, and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
