Mr. William Parris Nelson, 78, beloved husband of Mrs. Kathy Nelson of North Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest on Thursday April 18, 2024.

The relatives and friends of Mr. William Parris Nelson are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM in Shiloh African Methodist Episcopal Church, 3570 Meeting Street Road, North Charleston, SC. Interment will follow in Buzzard Roost Cemetery, Pon Pon Road, Jacksonboro, SC. A public walk-through viewing will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in Murray's Mortuary - North Charleston Chapel, 4060 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter McCoy and Charlie Nelson; and a sister, Yvonne Nelson-Williams.

Mr. Nelson leaves to cherish his memories:  his beloved wife, Kathy Robinson Nelson; his children, William (Wanda) Nelson, Elaine Smalls, Elizabeth Nelson, Daniella Nelson and Virginie (Keith) Sanders; his siblings, Curtis (Doris) Nelson, John (Ethell) Nelson, Evelyn (Willie) Fickens, Barbara Jean (Jeff) Alston, Christine (Carl) Hamilton and Rosalee (Rufus) Harris; ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
