Minister Samuel L Smith affectionately known as 'Bunny', age 80, of Ravenel, SC, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026.

Born on June 22, 1945 in Ravenel, SC. He was the beloved child of Deacon Joseph and Ruby Smith. Bunny was known for his kindness, strength, generosity, and dedication to family and friends.

He is survived by his brother Reverend John H. Smith (Martha), his children David A. Smith (Gwenette), Samantha Smith, Joseph L. Smith Sr (Crystal), and Min. Germaine E. Smith; as well as a host of grandchildren, great grand children, extended family members, and cherished friends who will deeply miss his presence.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mother Gloria R. Smith, his parents Deacon Joseph and Ruby Smith and brother Herman Smith.

Bunny enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and going to church. Those who knew him will remember his warm smile, compassionate spirit, and unwavering love for others.

Though Bunny is no longer with us in body, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
