Mrs. Roberta Simmons, 91, of Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

The relatives and friends of Mrs. Roberta Simmons are invited to attend her Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM in Wesley United Methodist Church, 446 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park, 3715 Azalea Drive, North Charleston, SC. A Wake Service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Simmons, Jr.; daughter, Karen Simmons; and parents, Lazzie and Idella Nelson Bannister.

Mrs. Simmons leaves to cherish her memories:  her children:  Jeanaris Bannister (Christine), Cheryl P. Jenkins Cook (Vincent), Joann Simmons and Clarence Simmons (Cher); grandchildren:  Corliss Wright (Marquillis), Joseph Jenkins, Jr. Ylanda Bluford, Autharee White, Anthony Simmons (Carnysha), Antoine Simmons and Greg Simmons; great-grandchildren:  Somone Jenkins, Jalen Jenkins, Darrien White, Anthony Simmons, Jr., Dexter Simmons, Promyse Bluford, Asher Simmons, Atticus Simmons, Harper Wright and Zorah White; sister, Audrey Hunt; and a host of sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, along with other family members and loving friends.
