Deacon Nathaniel Glover, 87, of Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday July 17, 2024.

Nat attended Burke High School and later earned his GED before enlisting in the Air Force at the young age of 16 in 1953. His remarkable 26-year military career included service in the Vietnam War and tours in the Philippines, California, Massachusetts, Texas and New Jersey. After retiring from the Air Force in 1979, Nat continued his dedication to service as a civil servant with Lockheed Martin, working in California and Saudi Arabia from 1982 to 1997.

On July 20, 1957, Nat married his beloved wife, Janice N. Madison. Together, they built a family and a life filled with love and devotion. He is survived by his wife Janice, their children Douglas, Carol, and Steve, and his daughter Diane, as well as his grandchildren Stephen, Adrian, Asia, and Silas, and four great-grandchildren.

Nat's faith was a cornerstone of his life. In 2014, he became a Deacon at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a pillar of the community and a source of inspiration to many.

He is preceded in death by his brothers Clifford, Franklin, and Zuri, and his sister Dora Mae. Nat is survived by his brothers Andrew (Mary) of Vernon Hills, IL, James (Louise) of Jacksonville, FL, Walter of Evans, GA, Anthony, and Ralph both of Charleston, SC; his sisters Vernus of Charleston, SC, Carrie (Keith) of North Charleston, SC, and Latricia (Gerald) of Goose Creek, SC; and his sister-in-law Margie of Charleston, SC.

Nat leaves behind a legacy of strong faith, service, and community spirit that will be cherished by all who knew him.
