Mr. Jerome Otha Magwood, 77, of Charleston, SC, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Johnette Bryant Magwood, entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 8, 2025.

The relatives and friends of Mr. Jerome Otha Magwood are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM in Destiny Worship Center, 3625 Azalea Drive, North Charleston, SC. Interment - Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC. A public viewing will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in Murray's Mortuary - North Charleston Chapel, 4060 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC.

Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Joemimer Magwood; siblings, James Tracy Magwood, Geraldine M. Daniely, and Archie Magwood, Jr.; and son-in-law, Jose Rodriguez.

He is survived by his devoted daughter, Shawn Magwood Rodriguez; grandsons, Romeo and Angelo Rodriguez; siblings, Charles Magwood, Sr. (Norvella) and Beverly M. Mellix (Neal); sisters-in-law, Dorothy B. Magwood and Yvette S. Magwood; brother-in-law, Hubert Daniely; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.
