Mr. Carlton Leslie Simmons, 65, of Charleston, SC, a master blacksmith, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

The relatives and friends of Mr. Carlton Leslie Simmons, affectionately known as "Cornbread" are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Alfred Williams Community Life Center, 4441 Durant Avenue, North Charleston, SC. Interment will follow in Riverview Memorial Park, 3715 Azalea Drive, North Charleston, SC. A public viewing will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in Murray's Mortuary - North Charleston Chapel, 4060 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lymus Simmons, Jr. and Martha Simmons; one sister, Rose Marie Smith; and one brother, Anthony Samuel Simmons, Sr.

Mr. Simmons leaves to cherish his memories:  two sisters:  Izetta Thompson (James) and Rosslyn Simmons; five brothers:  Lymus Simmons, III, John Simmons (Andrea), Anthony Simmons (Anita), Robert Simmons and Don Simmons; and a host of other relatives and friends.
